Hi Daniel - The best NCV3 Sprinter manual I know of is the three-part Sprinter Overview (available from my ). It's over 300 pages and describes all the major Sprinter systems in detail. While it doesn't have all the maintenance procedures fully described, it does include a lot of diagnostic and testing tips. Greg While they would better than nothing. Historically those aftermarket manuals are generic information (misinformation) and plagued with errors when they do get specific.
The MB CD that is available is marginal at the very best and that was developed by Dodge with MB info.so any aftermarket pubs would be short on information ( AS MB is very tight on info) unless they decided to do their own research and actually write their own version which does not happen any more. Pay as you go subscription to the MB web site is as good as it gets. Showkey's right. Modern vehicle maint information is going on line.
It's cheaper to run a website than it is to print and distribute paper, talk a retail store owner into taking up retail floor space and risk never selling a copy in one zip code, while running out of copies in two other zip codes. I purchased a CD from SRM servicerepairmanuals.com, Vancouver, BC (I think). Fairly decent manual, gives specs, intervals, etc. I don't think Haynes produces a Sprinter manual (wish they did, I'd get one). Walt Hi, Can some one check the Differential Initial setup specs on 2008 Sprinter 3500 with Mercedes Rear, 906 353 2712 51/13 the Ratio on this 3.92 and the Ring Size is 9.5' Axle splines are 30 and the pinion splines are 26. What I am looking for is the minimum and max Pinion Pre-load and Ring Backlash, if I can get the torque for the carrier Caps, that would be nice otherwise I will go with the generic setting of 60 Ft Lb.
