Z4 Monitor Manual E85 Navigation
Hey folks, I recently purchased a 2006 Z4 3.0si which includes navigation, but the car didn't come with any manuals or other documentation. I downloaded the Owner's Manual from the BMW web site but it doesn't include any information on the navigation system, carver audio system, or phone/blootooth system, and those supplements were not on the bmw site. I can operate the audio controls without any issue, and I've managed to figure out how to get to the nav screen, but am still trying to figure out how to use the navigation itself. I have been searching google and youtube to try and find a downloadable version of the nav/audio/phone manuals or a walkthrough on how to use it, but so far no luck. Anyone have a reference? Speaking of the nav, I'm pretty sure this car has the factory nav software from 2006, and I read something about there being a downloadable firmware and map update for the 2006 nav? I haven't seen a link to the disks though.
Any references on where to get those? I followed to update my navi firmware. Got the 2010 map CD over bittorrent. Hmm, that thread is from 2007, isn't there a newer firmware? Not to mention megupload is no more, so its not really available to download from there.
I think I found the v32 firmware update on Bittorrent (BMW Navigation Distribution Disk V32 looks right), but no maps. Is there an easy way to tell which version of the nav firmware you are running? I don't see any kind of version on the screen when it first starts up.

I also found a copy of the 2004 (same as 2002 apparently) 'Owner's Manual for Onboard Computer' (which includes Nav) on Bittorrent, so that should come in handy while I'm trying to figure out this odd nav user interface.
