The new RoGator 1274 from AGCO Application Equipment features the highest horsepower engine yet. With the largest power bulge in the industry, its 290 horsepower can surge 12 percent to 325 hp. Add peak torque of 1,066 pounds per foot and it can top out at 35 mph on the road or work its way through the toughest field conditions. The versatile RoGator 1274 puts that power to good use with three applicator configuration options for wet or dry product placement, and three boom options for liquid application alone.
Add adjustable wheel spacing and optional 4-wheel steering and you have a machine that will take you where you want to go and apply product the way you want it applied. Built for tough demands “The new RoGator 1274 is built for the tough demands facing applicators today,” says Arnie Sinclair, general marketing manager, Ag-Chem Application Equipment. “Road time is lost time in a business where every moment counts.
If Asian soybean rust is present, covering acres fast could mean the difference between saving a crop and losing it. “The 1274, with its four speed ranges, can get to the field quickly and get the job done as fast as field conditions allow.” Just as every minute counts when a crop is under disease threat, every horsepower and foot pound of torque can count if field conditions are less than perfect.
Carried in on storm fronts, fungal diseases like Asian Soybean Rust tend to strike when field conditions are at their worst. The RoGator 1274, with its 290 hp CAT C9 engine, has the power needed to carry up to 1,200 gallons of product where it's needed, when it's needed. The charge air-cooled, waste-gated turbocharger equipped engine is Tier II emissions compliant and fuel efficient.
“When the 1274 hits a soft spot or a wet area or starts up a slope, there will be no shortage of torque to carry the load,” says Paul Haefner, sales engineer. “Peak torque has been raised by nearly 20 percent.
That extra 162 foot pounds could make all the difference when it comes to disease control in a rained-on or irrigated field.” The RoGator 1274 with its proven efficient cooling package is just as ready for dry conditions. Its side-by-side design reduces potential plugging and refuse buildup, while its plate fin design radiator and all aluminum construction keep the power system running cool. “Our hydraulic system remains unchanged in the 1274, as does the direct-drive wheel motors on all four wheels,” says Haefner. “Both systems were new in the previous model and have shown themselves to be efficient, effective and reliable in the field.” Smooth ride, quiet cab While the RoGator 1274 retains its smooth ride and quiet cab, cab access has been improved by adding a step to the entrance ladder. The cat walk and cab entrance deck have also been redesigned. A new tread design improves traction and water drainage from the deck, and an operator handrail has also been added for safety.
RoGator versatility remains unchallenged for either delivering product or adjusting to the crop and the field. For dry product applications, choose from the Air Max 180 pneumatic system or the New Leader L2020G4 spinner spreader. The Airmax 180 delivers up to 60 feet of coverage per pass, and independent shut-off control of left and right booms.
The New Leader L2020G4 delivers 60 to 80-foot swaths of dry fertilizer, depending on product type. The liquid system with its 1,200 gallon tank offers three boom options from 60/80 to 100 feet with full breakaway tips and adjustable boom heights of 31 to 83 inches. Wheel spacing can be adjusted from 120 to 152 inches, and the GatorTrak 4-wheel steering option makes a 13.5-foot turning radius possible. Job done right “The changes we made in the versatile 1274 RoGator will help it get to the field faster and work harder once it's there,” says Sinclair. “And with its proven systems, you know the job will be done right.” For more information on RoGator, visit.
